GEO Reentry Services has released an outcomes report for Day Reporting Center programs operating in Mendocino County, California. The research team generates outcomes reports to assess a variety of program factors, ranging from population served and demographic details, accountability activities, and most importantly, whether the services being provided are impacting criminal behavior. This report covers data from calendar year 2024 and includes data collected from two centers – in Ukiah and Willits – GEO Reentry operates for the county’s Probation Department.
The Mendocino County DRC serves individuals on probation and provides a structured combination of evidence-based programs, skill building, case management and community connections to help connect participants with resources and obtain essential needs. The program combines daily reporting with groups and treatment that focuses on sobriety and employment or full-time school enrollment when participants exit the program. Mendocino County opened the DRC in 2012 and added the Willits location later to reduce accessibility issues for participants.
This report highlights demographic details for 81 females and males on probation served during 2024. Combined at the two locations, there was an average daily population of 26 individuals. The report provides a detailed breakdown of demographics, the number of and type of referrals made by staff to local service providers, results of a participant survey, employment, rearrest data provided by the county researchers and more.
