Residential Reentry Centers

Transitional Housing and Reentry Services

GEO Reentry Services manages residential reentry centers for correctional agencies that offer individuals a safe, structured, supervised environment, as well as employment counseling, job placement, financial management assistance, and other programs and services. RRCs help individuals on parole gradually rebuild their ties to the community and facilitate supervising their activities during this readjustment phase.

The Challenge

When individuals are released from incarceration, many face significant challenges looking for housing, work, positive connections in the community, and access to medical care and substance use services. This leads to a population that is vulnerable to failure and return to incarceration.

Our Approach

Our systematic approach to reentry—coupled with our flexibility to meet agency needs—allows us to create safe, positive environments conducive to treatment. Our residential facilities use step-down levels of supervision, rewarding residents with increased freedom based on positive performance. Residents progress from a controlled environment to increased community involvement as they seek work, attend appointments, rebuild positive relationships, and earn independence. Center staff focus on delivering a high level of resident accountability while maintaining a safe and positive environment. Services include:

Outcomes with Residential Reentry Programs

By partnering with GEO Reentry, correctional agencies can engage with a network of housing, monitoring, and treatment assistance to help individuals as they begin their transition back into the community. Our programs, several of which have received accreditation from the American Correctional Association, offer valuable training to help the formerly incarcerated address patterns of antisocial thinking and poor conflict management to help individuals reenter the community after incarceration and reduce recidivism going forward.
