Cambria County reentry program graduates celebrated for hard work
Lisa Moore of Ferndale talks about her successful completion of Cambria County’s Day Reporting Center during a graduation ceremony Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at the Manor Drive facility.

Graduates of the Cambria County Reentry Service Center, a nonresidential reentry center run by GEO Reentry Services in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, were recently celebrated for their successful completion of the reentry program.

Fifty-five graduates received certificates during the ceremony, joining more than 300 others who have completed the program since it opened in 2012. The RSC provides cognitive behavioral classes designed to confront the type of thinking that prevents individuals from breaking the cycle of criminality. The reentry center also provides counseling and job assistance.

The graduation ceremony was attended by local officials, including Judge Tamara Bernstein who graduates to “keep up the fight,” in addition to The Tribune-Democrat. Read the paper’s full story on their website.
